2019 Truckee Craw Thaw

Inaugural Wildfire Relief Brunch

Join Kitchen Collab members Cake Lady Tahoe, EATS Cooking Co. , MOGROG Rotisserie and Platterfare at the INAUGURAL WILDFIRE RELIEF BRUNCH to bring food, fun and support to wildfire victims at the second annual Truckee Craw Thaw music festival by Crux Events and Moody’s Bistro.

An al fresco brunch will treat 100 guests , ages 21+, to a NOLA-inspired menu in historic downtown Truckee, California. The NOLA-inspired menu includes adult beverages sponsored by Tito’s Handmade Vodka, Proud Mary, Truckee Brewing and Campo Viejo.

Brunch will be accompanied by a live one-of-a-kind performance by the Craw Mafia.

Event Description: 

In the third installment of Kitchen Collab’s breakthrough pop-up series, Kitchen Collab Presents, Chef Alex Tolger of MOGROG Rotisserie and Founder/Director of Kitchen Collab seeks to provide guests with a unique dining experience. The evening will revolve around six courses, each designed with the unique flavor characteristics of corn, rye, barley and malt-based whiskeys. Jake Holshue, Lead Distiller at Old Trestle Distillery and Whiskey Guru will explain the historical ladder of American whiskey leading up to modern interpretations of classic methods.

Guests will be greeted with a bespoke welcome cocktail created by Michelle Stolgren, the Mixologist behind Garden to Glass who creates truly one of a kind cocktails based on locally foraged ingredients. Guests will also have the opportunity to sample unique and rare whiskeys, including a new release from Truckee’s own Old Trestle Distillery. A wine pairing by Uncorked will bring out the best in both whiskey and food.

A Fundraiser for Choices Person Centered Services

Date: Thursday, March 14th

$35 at the door

Time 5:30 - 7:30 pm

Event Description: Soup! (There it is) is a soup night fundraiser for Choices Person Centered Services. Choices is a local nonprofit supporting adults with developmental disabilities. We provide specialized programs to promote independence, personal development, self-sufficiency and respect for the people we serve. 
If you would like to support your special needs community by attending Soup! (There it is), you may purchase tickets online at Eventbrite, Early Bird tickets are $30 or tickets will also be available at the door for $35. Your entry fee will include a handcrafted ceramic bowl (made by those we serve), a variety of soups, bread, light refreshments and dessert. We will also be serving beer and wine for an additional charge. 

Live music will be provided by Lake Tahoe’s one and only, Joaquin Fioresi.

Event Description: Join us and the Tahoe Food Hub for the first night of their Fall 2018 Community Soup Night series. Community Soup Night brings our community together so we can enjoy a savory and affordably-priced meal made from local, sustainably-grown ingredients. The event is a fundraising collaboration of two local, non-profit organizations, Tahoe Food Hub and Slow Food Lake Tahoe, who are committed to creating a more sustainable food community.
