WHAT DO WE DO HERE ANYWAY?
Kitchen Collab is primarily a 2000 sq. ft. shared commercial kitchen space available to rent for Food Industry Professionals. We also have 1000 sq. ft. of (gorgeous!) event space available to rent for private or public events. Sometimes we have pop-up dinners, non-profit fundraisers or parties that are open to the public.
Some examples of private events that have been thrown here in the past are: holiday parties, birthday parties, board meetings, intimate dinners and tastings. Get in touch with us about event rental here.
HOW MUCH DOES IT COST?
Kitchen Collab charges an hourly rate for Kitchen time, which varies based on your monthly membership level. There is an additional monthly rate for cold, freezer and dry storage. We also offer parking for food trucks and trailers. Check out our members page for pricing and book a tour with us for details.
CAN I COME COOK TODAY, TOMORROW OR NEXT WEEK?
It’s possible, but it usually takes at least a week for all the necessary pieces to come together. We welcome both occasional clients and monthly members.
To become a Kitchen Collab member, you must:
Have signed the latest Membership Application and Agreement, and Terms and Conditions Agreement with Kitchen Collab.
Provide a valid copy of your Food Safety Manager Certificate.
Provide proof of liability insurance up to at least $2,000,000 with Kitchen CoLab LLC and Truckee Crossroads S.C., LP listed as additional insured and maintain such policy for the duration of any kitchen use. We suggest FLIP or Sierra Insurance Associates.
Valid State ID.
Submit a signed copy of the County of Nevada Commissary Verification Form (we provide and send this in for you)
Sign up on The Food Corridor, listing Kitchen Collab as your home kitchen.
Be safely trained on Kitchen Collab’s commercial kitchen equipment and complete the Kitchen Orientation with our Kitchen Manager.
Once those documents are on file, members can reserve kitchen time and get cooking.
DOES KITCHEN COLLAB HAVE ______?
Most likely! Check out our equipment list to see some of the equipment we have available for members. We also have a large amount of smallwares: sheet pans, hotel pans, bus tubs, cambros, spatulas, spoons, scales etc. For most applications, if you bring your knife kit and a sharpie, you'll be set.
DOES KITCHEN COLLAB ALLOW THE SALE OR MANUFACTURE OF THC/CBD PRODUCTS?
Not at this time.
DO I HAVE TO BE A MEMBER TO RENT YOUR EVENT SPACE?
Nope. Our space is well suited for both large and small events. Check out our event rental page for more information, and feel free to call, email or fill out our online form if you have questions or would like to get in touch.
CAN MY FRIENDS AND I HAVE A COOKING COMPETITION, PIZZA PARTY, COOKIE DECORATING PARTY OR SOMETHING SIMILAR AT KITCHEN COLLAB?
That depends. Kitchen Collab is a commercial facility catering to Food Industry Professionals. Generally speaking, if you are not a business, you cannot cook here. You can however hold events here and we welcome parties!
Here is how we see a pizza party or something similar going down:
You and your friends/coworkers get together with a Food Industry Professional (we can recommend someone, or you can choose) and rent our event space.
You go to town building your pizzas with ingredients prepared by your Professional then they go ahead and throw them in the oven for you.
You proceed to hang out, have a drink, eat your pizza!
